I remember a pretty (funny) emotional discussion in the meyerstraße-kitchen. you, splammo, was in rage about the "anglisierung der deutschen sprache" ;-) anyway, I think skek's opinion, acting bilingual, seems to me reasonable. That would benefit an english-learning-process too! why not?

Je suis schwer von kapée. Warum english? Für wen? Woher kommt diese Internationalisierungsstrategie auf einmal? Nichts ist schlimmer als gut gemeintes Denglish. In deutsch kann man sich viel besser ausdrücken. Ich lese viel lieber deutsch, viel gefälliger, einfacher, eingängiger. Und bring English mal sinnvoll mit location-based info unter einen Hut. Teutsche Blogs für Teutsche Pürger.

i think most of the post could be in english. that should be no problem. but there are some topics, that are hard to describe. and denglish is schwenglish. what about a small german zone in the blog, like a new german besatzungszone. das blogalltagsgeschäft kann sicher in englischer sprache gepostet werden. trotzdem sollte es möglich sein, "harte" disskusionen, in der sprache zu führen die man beherrscht.

Skek, ich lese "harte" und "Besatzungszone" und verstehe Deine Sprache. Word. Wir gehen in den Untergrund, tarnen uns als Drehorgelspieler (revolver organ player), no more Blockflöten (blog flutes) for the language chauvinists. German underground live forever. Support public transport.

Ich find die Idee mit der Besatzungszone auch sehr gut, da bin ich der selben Meinung wie skek. Wir sollten so frech sein und auch unserer Sprache treu bleiben. Schon aus respect in case of Goethe and Schiller, Nitsche, Kafka and so on. :-D "Besatzungszone" is a nice german word for it. But we have a problem. A "Besatzungszone" is a place witch is eingenommen from alien troops. But we are no alien troops on our own land!

wie schaumer aus? Heute habe ich mal die Bildschirmlupe eingeschaltet und ich muss sagen, so gehts ganz gut. Auch voll schön mal wieder HTML Tags zu benutzen und in so ein kleines, schrubbliges HMTL Formular zu schreiben. Irgendwie süß.
