Did you have looked at some information about web 2.0. Espescially for weblogs it would be a great thing.

1. I would offer me to redesign the weblog, if you want. Maybee we can get away from this technical look to a more warmer design. Water has no corners or angles!
2. I dont know the stuff on typolis. But i think its good, because you are the webfreaks.
3. I think Itunes playlist and Pots are good, but what are more webbased innovative thinks?
4. clean up the topics, there are too much of it. totaly confussing. when i search for some stuff i never find it.

One thing we changed in typolis: We changed topics to tags. So every story can have different categories (aka tag aka topics) at the same time. See the tags of the Sumaato Weblog here. Another point we've changed: the editor is much better. You can upload images within the editor, you have icons to create links, cites, bold type and so on.

@splammo. Get yourself a Typolis login. If you want you can have a look into the styles an templates we created.

We also added an module that makes blogging, formating and image handle easier than it is right now in Antville. It is a blog-system, focussed on single blogs, and not the web 2.0 social thing :(

Because Typolis is based on Antville and limited in some parts. We won't be able to include all the funky stuff there.

But (psst!) maybe another thing is coming in 2006 that is redesigned from ground up and will provide more features we wanna like ;)

Let us make a timeplan. What to do and so and when it must be ready!

Till December 20th:

• CSS, programming and wording fixes at Typolis.
• Think about how to backup the content and move it over there
• Layout for the new Mizu Home

Till January:

• Think about the next "beyond blogging" thing

Ya but it's not just you and me using the blog. Look at our member's list. I just know for sure i won't check all blogs. and i like the idea of a customizable blogface where you can simply uncheck the flashnews or the geeky news, whatsoever. i don't want to check 20 blogs a day.

mensch matze und konsorten, wir haben uns doch immer so gut auf deutsch gestritten. macht doch euren blog nicht größer als er ist. er ist lustig, anstrengend und oft langweilig, aber bestimmt nicht international.

Also ich finde der blog brauch sich überhaupt nicht im internationalen ranking zu verstecken. außerdem wachsen wir doch alle. besonders jetzt, wo wir immer mehr berufserfahrung bekommen und auch professionelle Leute kennen lernen und von deren Erfahrungen lernen und wachsen. Die studentenzeit ist für viele unserer gang nunmal vorbei und das streiten am mittaglichen mensatisch ebenso. auf jedenfall öffnen wir uns damit auch menschen aus dem ausland, die hier posten können und somit wächst auch dieses "lustige, anstrengende und oft langweilige" weblog. Stillstand ist der Tod! Wann bewegst du was? meckern kann jeder! und es gibt nicht einen relevanten grund von dir warum wir es nicht machen sollten.

I checked sumaato weblog again, and I still don't understand why suddenly opening a second weblog while 3 of the contributors from sumaato are also mizubitchy?

I mean, I know you want to promote your name and stuff, but that can still be done by clever crosslinking and meta-manna!

And why should your topics not be of interest for us anymore? Sorry, but even after thinking a lot about that.. I don't get it!

I like Aem's idea on the tagbased blog customization for any user.

And: take a look at mizubitchy memberstatus etc..

why change a winning team? why open up a 2nd blog? Only minimizes quality and quantitiy of blog postings on both mizu and sumaato.
